Proud History
Company founder Carl Dickerson launched his insurance brokerage business in 1965, working the multi-cultural neighborhoods of Los Angeles, California. From this one-man-operation, selling insurance door-to-door, the company has grown to answer the needs of a significant portion of the community throughout California and the United States. The belief that all people should have equal access to affordable health care is still the core of the business.
Today, the company is led by Managing Partners Tony Lee and Michael Wolff. As a result of the company’s activities, both political and civic, Dickerson Insurance Services has its roots in the minority and culturally diverse communities of California and offers multi-lingual support in 11 different languages.
On May 1, 2018, Dickerson Insurance Services announced that it has become an Alera Group company. Through this exciting venture, Dickerson Insurance Services is pleased to bring a national scope that is paired with our continued focus on local service. The company remains headquartered on a spacious campus near historic Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. In addition to housing members of our sales team, the corporate office includes quoting, customer service, underwriting, retention, renewal, individual sales and large group consulting services.
As Dickerson continues to grow, the core of the business is our commitment to serving our customers.
