Blue Shield has shared an update in regards to Providence St. Joseph Health System.
Providence has issued a termination notice for medical group and facility contracts with Blue Shield of California. Unless an agreement is reached, our current contract with Providence will end May 31, 2024.
While Blue Shield has been negotiating, they must also prepare member communications as required, beginning April 1, 2024.
