Blue Shield has shared an update regarding their ongoing negotiations with Community Medical Centers (CMC). An agreement was reached that ensures the nonprofit health plan’s Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), Medicare Advantage, and Administrative Services Only (ASO) members and customers can once again access in-network healthcare at Community Medical Centers hospitals and providers.

The new collaboration includes in-network access to healthcare at Community Regional Medical Center, Clovis Community Hospital, Fresno Heart and Surgical Hospital, and the medical group Community Health Partners.

“After many months of negotiation, we’re excited to have reached an agreement that will expand our members’ access to affordable healthcare in Fresno,” said Greg Siebert, senior vice president of Provider Partnerships and Network Management at Blue Shield of California. “We’re grateful to our members and customers for standing with us. We are happy to welcome Community Medical Centers back into the Blue Shield network.”
