Medicare requires employers to inform Medicare-eligible employees and some retirees whether their group prescription drug coverage is “creditable,” meaning its value equals or exceeds the standard Medicare Part D benefit. Coverage is “non-creditable” if it does not meet this standard. We've created a list of carriers and non-creditable plans. Please note: HSA-compatible high-deductible plans may be either creditable or non-creditable, depending on whether they are primary or secondary to Medicare.
