Kaiser Permanente to Offer High-Quality, Affordable Health Care in Monterey County

Salinas, Calif., Aug. 1, 2024 – Kaiser Permanente will increase community health care access in northern Monterey County by offering its high-quality, integrated coverage and exceptional medical care to residents beginning in 2025. Responding to demand in the community, enrollment in Kaiser Permanente’s commercial health plan for 2025 will be available later this summer.
Northern Monterey County residents, including those in the greater Salinas area, will have access locally to a range of medical services, including primary and specialty care, pediatrics, OB/GYN care, mental health care, laboratory, radiology, and pharmacy services. In addition, Kaiser Permanente also offers a full range of virtual care capabilities and convenient mail-order pharmacy options that will provide flexibility for patients.
“We are excited to expand into Monterey County, bringing Kaiser Permanente’s high-quality health care to the community,” said Eric Henry, FACHE, senior vice president and area manager for the Kaiser Permanente Central Coast service area. “Kaiser Permanente will continue our partnerships, investments, and support of non-profit organizations to create a strong safety net for those in need.”i
