CalCPA has released their Q4 Rates for PPO & HSA plans. They remain competitive in the market and are still paying some of the highest commissions out there – Level 7% on Small Group (1-50 enrolled) and Level 5% on Large Group (51+ enrolled). CalCPA can write owners-only groups and have the lowest requirements to write alongside Kaiser. Firms like CalCPA – 64% of their firms have been with them for over 5 years and 45% have insured with CalCPA for 10 years or more! Health Net has shared a reminder of the regulatory requirement to make certain disclosures available in connection with the sales offering of a small employer health care service plan contract. It is also to remind solicitors that before they submit a small employer Group Service Agreement to Health Net, they are required to get a signed statement from the small employer affirming that the small employer has received these disclosures. Please note that the disclosures are found in HNCA soliciting materials such as: • Renewal Guides • Standard Proposal • Disclosure Form • Rate Guide These materials are kept up to date and provided to solicitors and soliciting firms by Health Net. Landmark Health will be decreasing its rates effective 1/1/2025 for all new and renewing businesses on a Fully-Insured Employer Contributory Plans by the following group size categories: 2-24 Enrolled Employees – +15% previously announced effective 11/1/2024, will be reduced to 8.5% effective 1/1/2025 25-199 Enrolled Employees – +15% previously announced effective 11/1/2024, will be reduced to 8.5% effective 1/1/2025 200+ Enrolled Employees – Rates based on claims experience. Salinas, Calif., Aug. 1, 2024 – Kaiser Permanente will increase community health care access in northern Monterey County by offering its high-quality, integrated coverage and exceptional medical care to residents beginning in 2025. Responding to demand in the community, enrollment in Kaiser Permanente’s commercial health plan for 2025 will be available later this summer. Northern Monterey County residents, including those in the greater Salinas area, will have access locally to a range of medical services, including primary and specialty care, pediatrics, OB/GYN care, mental health care, laboratory, radiology, and pharmacy services.
