Nippon Life Insurance Company of America is refunding a portion of health insurance premiums based on the calendar year 2022-time period. This rebate is required by the Affordable Care Act. The Affordable Care Act requires carriers to refund part of the premiums received if they do not spend a minimum percentage (85% Large Groups) of premiums received on healthcare services, such as doctors and hospital bills, and activities to improve healthcare quality, such as wellness programs.

The rebate will be in the form of a premium credit and will appear on the September 2023 premium statement.  If you have multiple units, the total rebate will be allocated to each unit within your group.
