Health Net has released New Participation Guidelines to Help Grow Your Business. Health Net has updated their Large Group Enhanced Choice portfolio participation guidelines. Their defined contribution solution now offers more flexibility for: Midsize virgin groups, Groups that offer Kaiser and Groups with less than 50% participation. These employers can now provide their employees with up to four plan options. All other groups may continue to offer up to six plan options to their clients. Also, increased out of state (OOS) Employee Allowance for groups with 101-150 employees. All eligible Large Groups can now have up to 60% OOS employee participation. Answering some of the most frequently asked questions that their Call Center receives. Here are some of the latest questions received: #1 What payment methods does CCSB accept? The accepted payments: • ACH payments made through the MyCCSB portal • Checks sent through standard or overnight delivery • Bill Pay initiated directly through your bank Please Note: CCSB does not accept credit card payments and is unable to process payments over the phone. #2 When is my payment due each month? • CCSB invoices are issued one month in advance, and payment is due before the coverage month begins. For example, an invoice dated June 10, 2025, reflects premiums for July coverage and must be paid by June 30, 2025. #3 Who is responsible for managing the Cal-COBRA policy? • Cal-COBRA members (employees/dependents) are responsible for managing their own COBRA coverage. Please Note: Employers, agents, or general agencies are not authorized to act on a member’s behalf unless the member has formally designated them as an authorized representative. #4 How can I confirm that the Eligibility or Finance team has received my documents? • To confirm that your documents have been uploaded to the portal and received by the Eligibility team, or to verify that the Finance team has received your email, you must contact the respective team via email. • Email contacts: o Eligibility: CCSBELIGIBILITY@Covered.ca.gov Please Note: Uploading documents to the portal does not automatically notify the team. o Finance: CCSBFINANCE@Covered.ca.gov #5 When are recurring payments withdrawn? • Recurring payments are automatically withdrawn on the 18th of each month and the date cannot be changed. This Blue Shield has informed us of an upcoming change to their compensation structure. Starting July 1, 2025, new enrollments in Blue Shield of California Medicare PPO plans in Alameda, Orange, and San Diego counties will be processed as non-commissionable. This change applies to new business only. It does not affect commission payments of existing membership. Alongside other national insurance providers, Blue Shield and other Blue Cross Blue Shield companies announced six commitments that will make the process faster, more seamless and more streamlined. “Our members deserve safe, evidence-based, high-value care without delays.
